Royal British Legion Scotland is a single category membership orginisation open to all who who support our aims and objectives. Members will be Admitted on approval by the relevant Branch or by Head Office as appropriate on payment of the relevant membership fee, and in accordance with any other procedures set down in relation to membership.
LIFE MEMBERS, Life Members of RBLS shall be those Members who have been awarded a National Certificate for Meritorious Service. The NBT shall draw up rules for the awarding of NAtionak Certicicates and will make these known to Area Councils and Branches.
Affiliate Member. Affiliate Members of RBLS shall be those meembers who wish to be affiliated to other branches of RBLS in addition to the primary Branch through which they have become a Member of RBLS.
They shall pay the annual subscription applicable to the affiliate branch but shall not pay the annual capitation fee to any branch other than their primary branch.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIPS. Those Members who received Honorary Memberships historically may retain them. All Members afforded the Honorary category paid for by the Branch. Honorary Memberships are no longer issued as a category of membership.
Anyone wishing to apply for membership of the Fort William Branch may do so by completing an application form which can be downloaded from this website or obtained from the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary or by contacting any other member of the Branch for Sponsorship.
All members are required to pay an annual membership fee (Capitation) that is due for payment on 01 November each year.
There are two components to this fee which are: the Legion Scotland Fee (£15.00 for FY2020/2021) and a Branch Subscription of £5.00.
Our preferred method of collecting Capitation is by Direct Debit and a Mandate Form can be dowloaded from this website or will be sent to you if you wish to join the Branch.
